Everybody knows the musical genius Mozart, the one and only “wunderkind,” a superstar with a boatload of issues – and a sister, who is just as talented as her brother. When he is fired from a position in Salzburg, Maria Anna sees a chance to escape the prospect of an arranged marriage by helping Amadeus to secure a position at the court of Emperor Joseph II in Vienna. But Amadeus’ erratic behavior jeopardizes their plan. So, she slips into the role of her brother, performing for the Emperor disguised as Amadeus – captivating the entire court and drawing the envy of Mozart’s greatest rival, Antonio Salieri. Her bold stunt quickly gets out of control. When Maria Anna convinces the Emperor to commission the first German-language opera, she must protect her charade, juggle her brother’s unpredictability, and keep her secret from her newfound love – who happens to be none other than Antonio Salieri.

Mozart Mozart is not a retelling of Amadeus’s well-known story — it offers a brand-new perspective on the Mozart mythos by shifting the spotlight to his sister, Maria Anna. Her story has never been told like this before. While visually stunning, the series also captivates with its unique approach to transforming Mozart's music into an emotionally charged soundscape for modern audiences — framed by a narrative of self-expression, creative power, and the courage to defy convention. We’re confident that this fresh, fearless reinterpretation of the Mozart legacy will strike a powerful chord with audiences and buyers around the world. And above all, it is a long-overdue tribute to the brilliance of Maria Anna — finally giving her the stage she was always denied.”
